This DBQ is intended for high school students. The purpose is for students to evaluate the impact of Booker T> Washington;s leadership. The documents represent 1) opinions of Washington during his life and after his death, 2) Washington's response to criticism, 3) pictures depicting Washington;s work and 4) an article discussing Black experiences in Topeka, Kansas. Students will examine a questions that requires an evaluation og Washington as a leader when compared to W.E.B. Dubois and other leadership models.
